We looked at the 2005 and 06 Pathfinders over a year ago for my son. They are nice but were just a little too much. As part of our research we learned about the leaking radiator into the transmission fluid. The trans fluid runs through a heat exchanger in the bottom of the radiator like many cars, but the Nissan radiators are defective and will eventually leak. If your fluid is clear and it is shifting correctly you are lucky, but you should run a separate trans fluid cooler as a bypass for the radiator cooler. These are about $100 and easy to install. Or you can replace the radiator, which is quite a bit more.
Funny(sad) but a friend had a perfect, always garaged, 2005 PF and the trans failed at 120k miles. He had to trade it in and only got $2200 for it. I would have bought and fixed it for a couple thou, but don't have a place to work on it.
