I need some help removing my driver side door panel on my 02 maxima. I believe i have an interior door switch problem, having trouble raising/lowering window using door control or remote let down feature. If my cousin is correct there is a switch on the inside of the door that can get dirt/moisture/debris etc trapped in between the switching terminals causing inconsistent window rollup/down problem and can be cleaned out w/a can of compressed air. Door diagrams and/or insight on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

no need to remove door just the door panel. check switch and plug that connects switch to the wiring harness. look on web for color codes and you can short the 2 wires that move window up and also the 2 that roll it down. Look on back of switch and trace wires to the 2 ends of the switch. find the ground and you can eliminate if it is switch or maybe a bad motor. door panel should have some screws by handle and the rest pops on with plastic clips.

Door panel removal is pretty simple. The edges of the door are held in place by clips that will pop loose when you pry the door panel away from the door. Be kind of careful as you CAN break them, but it's not a huge deal if you break 1 or 2. You can buy more at the dealer if you break any.

There are also 1 or 2 screw points (not sure exactly how many on the '02). You need to remove the screws, then with the clips released and all the harness connections disconnected you'll be able to lift the panel out of the window sill.
