I bought my 92 300zx (5 speed of course) back in march, since then i've spent most of my time working on the car. The z had a lot of work done mechanically when i bought it; bigger injectors, ecu tune, single piece aluminum driveshaft, stage 2 clutch (its heavy but it gives the car a very balanced feel), and a couple other things to improve the car but nothing major. Also the interrior was flawless except for the steering wheel, wich i recently replaced with a pretty neat Italvolante Imola wheel. Most all of my time and money has been spent on the body and suspension. When I got the car both of the rockers were rusted through due to a pinch at the bottom of the T-top drainage system, and there was some rust in the rear quarter. After I welded all the patch panels I filled the antenna hole and rear wiper, as well as the front emblem. I had the car fully repainted the origional KL1 charcoal metallic with a touch of gold pearl. Im really satisfied with the paint job, it's the only thing on the car i didn't do myself due to lack of a paint booth. Next step was suspension, i got a decent deal on some fully adjustable Tein coilovers, and adjustable camber arms front and rear. She sits on Amit wheels (casted aluminum because I can't afford forged wheels, but who can) and BF Goodwrench sport comp 2 all weather, they do gret in the rain. Thats pretty much it up to now, i love the way it looks and makes for a pretty slick daily, might as well drive back and forth to collage in something cool. The Goal for the Z was to be an very clean driver, and something fun.
