Welcome to NICO.

As for your brake issue what are your brakes doing? Are they squealing, brake pedal pulsation, warped rotors, abs malfunction.

For me at 17000 miles no brake problems at all btw my V does not have ABS.

Well, my daughter (with 12k miles) and I (with a few more) have never had any brake problems. With alonso that makes your dealer's 3/5 "good" Versa's, so the next two folks ought to have problems! (And neither of us has ABS, either.)

If I were you I would ask that your dealer put on brand new ceramic brake pads on the front and turn the rotors and that should take care of the problem, provided the mechanic put on the anti squeal/ rattle clips. All covered under warranty of course.

I've got 17K on mine and there are no noises from the brakes. I wouldn't be too worried though. Lots of times noisy brakes are caused by dust or uneven wear due to slamming on your brakes. If it's just dust then some anti-squeal grease stuff should help. If it's from uneven wear then like alonso said have your rotors turned.

Versa with ABS and 19,300 miles, no brake issues or noises at this time. For a period of about a week, a couple of months ago, the brakes would make some screaching noise, but I had been driving on quite a few dirt roads at the time. I pulled the front tires, wiped the rotors with a clean cloth and no more noise. I figured it was just a lot of road dust.

Not sure about using grease on your brakes. Could increase your stopping distance a little.

Don't be silly. You're not crisco-ing or Pam-ing your brakes. It comes in a spray, compound or paste. You apply it following the instructions of course and it reduces noise. It's a commonly purchased and used item that when used accordingly reduces noise but does not hinder performance. In fact most brake manufacturers sell some form of it.

Works nicely -- my mech puts it on at eery brake service.

24,000 km and no brake problems.

btw, are they ever going to change the warranty to "real driving"? 12,000 miles/20,000 km a year? My three year warranty will be over after a year and a half!
