Versa with ABS and 19,300 miles, no brake issues or noises at this time. For a period of about a week, a couple of months ago, the brakes would make some screaching noise, but I had been driving on quite a few dirt roads at the time. I pulled the front tires, wiped the rotors with a clean cloth and no more noise. I figured it was just a lot of road dust.

Lots of times noisy brakes are caused by dust or uneven wear due to slamming on your brakes. If it's just dust then some anti-squeal grease stuff should help. If it's from uneven wear then like alonso said have your rotors turned.
Not sure about using grease on your brakes. Could increase your stopping distance a little.
