Okay seriously sick of wiring problems. Anyone done this before that could help me out? No fire, bypassed the fuel pump relay so it's getting fuel...

ok so what exactly doesnt work? from what i understand its the fuel pump not turning on. what about the spark and injectors.

i will try to help you figure it out, but just beware that i dont know d!ck about doing SR swaps. but ill help the best i can. so lets get rollin on it.

what exactly did you do to the wiring harness? did you modify it yourself or did you buy a pre made one? also did you do anything else at the same time as the swap? did you put in a new fuel pump too? are you getting power to the pump?

To be honest, I haven't taken the time to read through the thread yet. Been busy deciding what route I'm going to take for my bottom end. 85% compression loss on cylinder #3. Give me a couple minutes and I'll see if I can take a stab at any of it.

I have no idea why your wiper motor wiring is failed... That wiring shouldn't have been touched. At least it isn't in the S13. I say pull your harnesses and order both upper and lower from Wiring Specialties. Also, that relay is kind of an odd relay. I'll bet money that relay lost it's ground, so try grounding it and stop bypassing it. By passing relays and things is not the route you want to take with this. You're just causing yourself more issues with diagnosing it. Also, if you popped the big 75W fuse, your pump won't come on. That fuse tends to blow when a battery wire is crossed, or if your alternator is grounding itself out. (Something touching it, or the inside of it's jacked up.)

I had intentions of building the bottom end anyway, but I wanted to get the motor running properly and get my chassis swap done first. :(

I'm not getting juice to the injectors, crank angle sensor, or fuel pump, if we bridge some wires on the dash plug the fuel pump will come on, but it stays on, the problem we've got is that we cannot find a wiring diagram for my car or the sr that is correct. We found tons that are somewhat close, but nothing that's right, fsms don't have the same wires listed in the same location and the wire colors are all wrong lol, so I'm stuck. We haven't cut the sr harness except to extent the maf and o2 sensor wiring, ka harness is cut at the dash plug, we were making an adapter to keep from having to mess with the actual harnesses. Any help would earn you free beer lol or BBQ lol

Why not keep your beer and bbq money and use that toward a wiring specialties plug and play upper harness.... Your stock SR bottom harness will be fine...

Ya, it's not exact for the 96 auto se, and all the wiring diagrams I find for the sr are a little off, I'm probably looking over something small but me and my friends can't find a diagram that's close enough. We've pieced together out own I'll post on here when I get home you can look at.

Dude you could spend months trying to track down that bug. Contact OMEGA and see what he can work out for ya. When i found out about the plug an play harness i got a quote for an s13 to s13. Email him and see what he says for a S14 to S14.It will cost you more if he hasnt released it yet but dude the loss of time and fustration is well worth it in my opinion.

Eh if I can't figure it out tomorow I'm taking it to over the top motorsports, he quoted me $120 for wiring it, re-looming it and all, and hoping nothing else is wrong with it.

Well if I could find everything for the wiring it would have been a weekend thing. The engine was in the car in one weekend lol. I'm definetly making a wiring guide for s14sr>s14 on here when I'm done. It's kinda weird that I find more info on Lexus v8 swap wiring than mine lol

Update ftw!? Tried a wiring diagram I thought would work, had my friend help me label the wire before I pulled them out. Wrote the wired colors with corresponding pin on a peice of paper and started depinning. My friend left and I started repinning when I found out that he's partially color blind... So my wiring is screwed even more lol. I'm pretty sure I can get the wires back where they go, but I'm gonna need a different diagram lol. Anyone have a link to one that might work? :ohno:
