Whats goin on everyone, this is my first post here on NICO! I have been lurking around here for a few months while i was looking for 240's, but i finally found one! Its a project for sure, but im ready for it, and im so excited to see it coming together. Here are some pics of my 1993 240sx Fastback! KA24DE.

It really does need alot of work, but the frame rails are mint (no spray foam/fiberglass), and the seat mount broke through the floor, but i got the floors redone yesterday by a buddy of mine for $100 so im pretty happy about that. The moron who i bought it off of must have had the goal of f***ing this car up, because he spray bombed it HORRIBLY and all over the light (i took the overspray off with varsol), and tons of bolts where missing in the engine bay like from random mounts, i dont even know why he would want them off doesnt make sence, but there all replaced. the AC piping was cut for some reason but im gonna remove the compressor and put a delete belt on anyways. The interior is a** ugly so im changing the seats (s14 seats), dash, center console, door panels, and carpet in the front (back is getting rhino lined black and staying gutted), then after that im gonna start loading mad money into it performance wise, but i need to make some decisions on lots of things before i start that. If anyone has any suggestions/critisizm i would like to hear it. Peace!

Is that the stock engine? Has it ever been rebuilt? Almost 280,000 miles and still kicking.

Welcome i am new here as well and I just bought a 92 FB with 259,XXX miles was running great but then #2 injector blew too many ohms, changed it. When i changed injector forgot to do o-rings cuz brother said they were fine drove to auto store to get fuel injector cleaner n it started to run like s*** so replaced o rings, bottom old one was destroyed. After start up it started blowing white gas smelling smoke at idle n driving. Never overheated n has better power than b4 but with spy hunter style smoke screen. It may b FPR diaphram broke, ECT sending wrong info to ecu causin rich condition or blown head gasket(usally white smoke is reason). This is after google search's and friend's suggestions. Also a google search got me a hit to run it for 30mins to see if smoke goes away maybe due to xtra fuel going in when it was running with broken o ring.

Don't know which one to start at so if some one had same problem please help me as well. I only went thru that whole bs up top to get u prepared for some things that u should start testing or replacing asap or buying a rebuilt engine or rebuild urs. This is what i get for buying a hi mileage ride. Pics to follow soon just waiting for pics to send from cell phone to email crappy a** metro pcs got one of the wing but still aint sure how to move them from my puter to here other site i was on easy point n click.

Well as far as i know its the original motor, it has had alot of owners so it might have been rebuilt, ill check if its original tomorrow though.

Is it really a 180sx cluster? I didnt even know lol. and thanks!
Brycicles wrote:So what are your plans for this?
Well for now my plans are to get everything in working order to get it saftied, but after that im gonna get all the body work done, and get it painted (still deciding on colors), then im gonna get a half decent suspension setup, Full new black interior, tuneup, jdm lights, corners, side markers, brakes are already brand new 4-wheel disks so they will do for now, but performance breaks will come in the future. and thats about it for right now, but in a few months im gonna get a rebuild cause of all the kilometers and basically get it ready to take a turbo, and toss off the rice cannon and get a normal muffler lol. Hopefully in the future ill be swapping in an RB25DET or something crazy, but not for a while.

I actually had to clean them off wit varsol lmao they where completely black! But it sucked cause i had to keep cleaning to thinner off cause if it sits to long it messes up the lenses.

I really wanna rebuild it for now cause thats the cheapest root until i can afford a good swap. Good luck with your 240!

Oh yea and i forgot to add, its VLSD so it drifts pretty decently even with the stock suspension. I met up with a buddy of mine that goes to drift events regularely and he showed me what my car could really do, scared the s*** out of me haha.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys!

thats just a regular canadian cluster because it has KM and mph, a 180sx cluster only has Km/h, as well as an idiot light for something turbo related

This man is correct. Additionally, your tachometer has the KA24DE redline. SR tachometers have redline starting at 7500rpm.
