Hows it hangin guys, my name is Dylan, im a Tech at a Honda dealership. I just bought a '93 240sx SE, with no motor/trans, 5 lug converted, q45 front brakes, z32 rear brakes, tokico blues with "some-brand" lowering springs, aftermarket rear upper control arms, and a battery in the trunk. The previous owner had a RB25 in it.

I havent done much too it yet, all ive done so far is reupholster the glovebox and door panels, and made a matching shift boot.

Im going to try to keep this build as low-budget and DIY as much as i can, Im sure i willl have plenty of question as this progresses

hallo! Doesn't look that bad honestly. Are you planning on finding a ka to put in or something else?

Probably a KA, it would be the easiest to find locally. If I do wind up buying one online or whatever I'm considering a CA or RB20. Although the guy I bought the car from has an SR w/trans siting in his garage, but something is wrong with it he doesn't know what it is, he pulled the valve cover off and didn't see anything so it'll most likely be in the bottom end somewhere. But he wants $500 for it, the only thing he doesn't have is IC piping and an ECU

But I'm also thinking about a Gen1 SBC. With some kind of non-T56 transmission.

Okay first question, the battery is in the trunk, and I only have One lead coming from it up to the engine bay, there's nothing wired into the fuse box. Is this the plug that needs a lead from the (+) terminal?

That red plug supplies power to the car. The thick cable is just a direct line to the starter and alt.

I'm up a little bit north of Tulsa. By Owasso.

And I know there's the thick cable coming from the battery for the starter/alt, but does this red plug get a cable from the battery as well? The battery relocation was kinda half-assed so I'm not sure what goes where lol.

Thanks man!

I might have scored a running single slammer KA with transmission and everything for 400. I plan on re-ringing it and getting all new bearings and the lot. Maybe boost it while I'm at it :)

Yes, that should connect to the positive on the battery.
