I just purchased a 1995 S14 Green exterior and light blue interior. I has a S14 SR20DET swap already done. I also has all the basic bolt ons to get the engine running like FMIC, 3In. exhaust/DP, Manual Boost Con., Greddy E-manage, and Single fan mod. It also has some suspension like Tanabe Lowering springs, working a/c and power steering. I put my MB Weapon wheels and Dunlop tires on it, they are staggered fitment of 18x8 F and 18x9 R. I averaged about 30mpg's on the way from picking it up which I found very interesting. I loved it tho. It drives smooth and has some quirks like sometimes it turns over and some times it doesn't. Sometimes when it does turn over I have to give it gas to get it to start the motor but it is sluggish to come to an idle even so. I just ordered a new Walbro 255lb fuel pump. I also noticed some oil from the front part of the engine itself, It is leaking from what I can tell the front cover for the oil pump. So I ordered a new oil pump and also a new water pump just for maintence sake. Plus, I ordered all new belts, Valve cover gasket, Spark plug o-ring gaskets, and oil filter. I figured I may as well take care of all the maintanence while I had it apart. If I missed anything let me know. I just put a set of NGK BKR6E plugs in gapped to .36 which I think is what everyone said is the right ones. I also purchased some Z32 front hubs because I am hearing alot of noise from the ones on the car. I puchased some tension rods, Sway bars, some other misc. rear bars all with good bushings. I got all that so I can make sure its going to ride well. I am in works of getting my friends solid rear subframe bushings already installed in his rear subframe he has sitting around. So since I will be pulling all the suspension out up front anyway I figured the oil pump wouldn't feel like such a PITA. I am also getting my friends 3in high flow cat.

Anyway, I have enjoyed the car so far the paint was recently done and the body is straight. It rides nice and handles good. I like the sound of the turbo and BOV its nice. So anyway I was just saying hi and thanks for reading...

Here are some pics enjoy:

you didnt need a new oil pump just a new front main seal. replacing the oil pump involves pulling the head and pulling the lower oil pan. that means you have to pull the motor and if your going to be doing that. then ARP head studs and a metal hg should be added on too.

from what I have looked at all you have to do is take the valve cover off, remove the upper and lower oil pans. and just the front side pulleys. IDK if thats right so if anyone wants to clarify it for me please do.

I don't think Z32 front hubs bolt on onto S14 or do they?

Well, I am not quite positive now that I have read about it. I guess I will see and if not I will just sell the ones I have and buy new S14 ones.

Yeah, that's completely wrong. In order to replace the front timing cover, the head has to atleast be loosened up and the upper and lower oil pans need to come off along with your crank pulley. Better do a lot of reading and research, because you have no clue...

Pull the front crank pulley and replace the front main seal, that should fix the oil leaking from there.

Nice, clean car... Don't wrap it around a tree.

The oil is leaking from along the seam of the front cover. So just the front main seal won't fix it. As far as the head coming off well I guess I will tear into it and see. It may be a PITA but, I have to get it all done. I already planned on taking off the oil pans, crank pulley and valve cover. So I will just go into it expecting the worst. Usually is any way with cars.

I have had plenty of rear drive cars. I should be perfectly at home since I have had an S14 KA-T before. Thanks tho.

I know, I was informing him about my previous car. I just want all this to go smooth. I just want to tear into it and get it all sealed up right.

I think the next things on my list are the sensors and plugs. Just to have the added reliability across the board. The I will get a set of 555cc injectors, Z32 MAF and FPR. That way I can take full advantage of the E-manage. I just want it to run smooth and have some well rounded power for a while. I have been enjoying the SR tho it has a nice power band.

Oh plus it needs a VLSD really badly.
