Post

At Easter time this year, I bought myself an R33.
It's very clean and unmolested (only mods are lowered suspension, exhaust, pod filter)
The intro thread I wrote can be found here
Today, I cleaned my AAC valve, and also cleaned the throttle body. (The idle was hunting a bit, but is perfectly stable now)

Before I start to modify the car I wanted to take some video that I could look back on, to see how the car behaved while it's stock.

First video I took was to show how the stock boost control solenoid behaves. It holds boost down to around 6psi, until you pass 4500rpm. At this point, the boost is allowed to go up to around 9psi. (I paused between shifts to ensure the rpm would drop below 4500rpm in the next gear)

I took another video of an acceleration run, but I don't have a camera mount that I can use to show the speedometer.... So I didn't upload it to youtube.

That's a pretty noticeable change in boost level. I'm surprised it's not a more linear transition.
