I'd change the plugs now. I would buy NGK Platinum or Iridium plugs. When you change out the fluids, I'd switch to all synthetics: Mobil 1 oil for the crankcase and Mobil 1 ATF for your transmission. Synthetic power steering fluid. Synthetic brake fluid.
Get your radiator flushed and add 50/50 mix of Prestone anti-freeze.
Check the condition of all your belts. Make sure that they are flexible, are not brittle or cracked.
Check your tires to see if you got a good Brand and Model.
Check your brake pads and rotors.
BTW, you and your daughter are now the proud owners of an I30t -- the "T" is for "Touring" and you get a lot of goodies that we normal I30 owners do not have, like a limited slip differential, traction control, sport-tuned suspension, 16" wheels, etc.
Also, 87K is actually low for a car like yours. These cars can go 200K without breaking a sweat.
Treat it right and it will treat you right.
