New to M35 with a question

Hey all, so after much shopping and bargaining, I jut pulled the trigger on an 06 M35 last night. Anyway, I love the car, but I have a question, that I couldnt find the answers to by searching. There is a little green light on the driver side near the foot well. It looks like its aftermarket (from the previous owner). I counldnt find anything about it in the owners manual, and I was just wondering if anyone here has any idea. Its just a green led that is on when the car is off and then it turns off as soon as the car is started.

Is it some kind of security add-on of some sort? I have no real idea what it is, so this is a complete SWAG!

Thanks for the welcome! Yea I am guessing that is what it is, but I am afraid to screw with it, so I might just try to remount it somewhere where its not just sitting right there.
