im on hear trying to help out my sister, she has a 92 240sx with a td06 turbo and greddy emanage system

we arent any good at tuning cars so we brought her car to a dyno shop up in maine. after a couple of weeks they told us that the greddy emanage is crap and doesnt work well with the ka motor and we should sell it and get a safcII

then i read on here that quite a few of you are running the cars with them and like them.

so what gives? should i have her get rid of the greddy and go with some kind of fmu for the time being or should we bring the car to a reputable shop who knows how to tune the greddy system.

or can i sit here with you guys and setup the car with my laptop and a dyno one day?

i need all the help i can get because the shop wants the car out of there and the guy wants us to sell what we have on ebay.... the more i think about it the more i think this guy wants one his buddies to buy the emanage and just stick us with something else

That is a terrible shop. Take it somewhere else.

If you have a laptop, you can buy a wideband and tune it yourself - it's pretty easy. You'll probably spend as much money on the wideband as you would on getting it tuned anyway, and you can always retune if you get a new setup.

My buddy uses the emange too and works great. take your car to another shop, these guys seem terrible.

wholy gawd.. isnt that a really big turbo? what kind of power she putting down with that thing,,,

and yeah, anyone who tells you a SAFC is better than a standalone when tunning cars is smoking something. I think safc might be easier, but im pretty sure the emange is a little bit better...

p.s.. lets see some picas of that setup

I agree on everyone above, if you have it tuned at all anymore, find another shop. The emanage does have its quirks, but it is essentially the same type of 'management' as the SAFCII, with some additional features. If they're telling you to switch to a SAFC, it's obvious they just don't know how to fully tune the emange, and are looking for something familiar to them. I would find a shop that has actually tuned some cars with the emanage.

I'm curious also what setup your sister is running.

well i will get a list of everything she has for the car...i know there is a large fuel rail 330 or 360 injectorstd06 turbo greddy emanage no cam gears yetaem underdrive pulleys

and when i talk to her next i will get all the details

The TD06 isn't that big, and you should take it somewhere else.

sounds like the regular greddy turbo kit to me

and as everyone else said, take it to another shop or do it yourself, i think theres people on here that could tell you how

plus some extra stuff

right now we have the shop just tuning it as safly as possible so we can drive it away and then im going to try and tune it myself with you guys and my laptop

if all goes wrong the ka motor is really cheap at a junkyard
