If you are putting in your own headunit and you've already cut the factory harness to pieces then just run your own wires.boogiesj30 wrote:Let me tell you now...
In my pursuit of installing my Dual reciver, I kind-of cut all the wires from the stock wiring harness of the Bose system. I should have came on here first, but I wasn't thinking straight. Just wanted to let everyone who replies know that converters are out of the question. Unless I can get a stock harness and put it in if it is possible....
HELP!!!
For how much and how will install it?misfit6794 wrote:You need to replace the speakers as well. The bose speakers will not work with an aftermarket headunit. I've got a stock harness you can buy if you decide to change your mind.
Sounds like you might be better off taking your car to an audio shop.boogiesj30 wrote:

not true...i have a JVC headunit running all 4 BOSE speakers...i dont know how he did it but it works and sounds great!since i changed the head unit the sound has had more depth to it if that makes any sense at allmisfit6794 wrote:You need to replace the speakers as well. If you don't have the adapter, you can use the stock speakers but you have to modify them to bypass the built-in amps. My 94's stereo was like this when I got it. I have since ran all new wires and don't use any of the factory wire harness. I even pulled all the seats and carpet out to run them. Got to pressure wash the carpet while it was out.kbflip02 wrote:

I like Crutchfield's service but you pay for it. Getting $40 worth of adapters for free only means that you paid at least $40 too much for the stereo.brandonjustice93J30 wrote:all of mine work with an aftermarket unit....nissan/bose converter came from Crutchfield when I ordered my unit, was part of a free install kit for buying the radio. Normally $39.99
You mean like this one for only $99?brandonjustice93J30 wrote:actually I got more than that free and I only paid $149 for a Kenwood KDC MP2035
And you didn't pay any shipping?brandonjustice93J30 wrote:actually I got more than that free and I only paid $149 for a Kenwood KDC MP2035
So where is the stock amp located at? I'm trying to do everything myself. Engine work, body work, electrical, w/e... I appreciate those who stopped by and left some notes in the thread for me.gr8scott72 wrote:

The amps are individually mounted in the speakers.boogiesj30 wrote:
