I have just purchased my first G37 last Friday, I am wondering what waxes and polishes does everybody like the best to use on their G35/G37? Thanks for the advice.

I use Eagle One Nanowax. ITs a pretty good wax. Also its easy to apply as it doesn't show up on rubber molding and plastic so you don't have to spend so much time trying to avoid getting it on non-painted surfaces. It also wipes off clean. Most waxes flake off causing dust to get all over your freshly cleaned car. Nanowax simply builds up into the microfiber cloth as you remove it. It does however require more microfiber cloths to remove it though as they become less effective as the build up occurs. Costco sells a nice big pack of them for relatively cheap, so no biggie there...

Welcome to NICO.

For polishes, I highly recommend Liquid Glass. Its pretty expensive, but its a polish and an acrylic sealer, and it does an awesome job. As for wax, I've been using Meguiar's NXT wax. The first coat I put on in the spring will be just a regular carnauba wax from TurtleWax as a base coat, then the rest of spring/summer is the NXT.

Oh, and just make sure you polish and then wax. Post up some pics when you wax her up!

Welcome to Nico and congrats!!

Check out the SEARCH button and pop in 'polish'it will give you lots of threads to read thru.

I have been using Zaino Brother's products for years now cause it's easy to go on and easy to take off. Several of my mustang brothers were winning MCA shows consistantly using Zaino - which is why I switched from Meguires Gold Class.

A second to Zaino...spend the time and you will be happy. I'm guessing if you are even asking you are not worried about the time involved though. Zaino has lots of good packages and their products are worth the money.

Zaino....it is just ridiculous how good it is!! It's a job to get it on right, but the polish lasts forever

Be sure to check out the exterior G forum for more topics on wax/polish. http://forums.g35club.org/zeroforum?id=265

I cannot stress how valuable this forum is for detailing questions and information:http://autopia.org/forum/guide-detailing/

I personally use Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax (No. 845). It beads amazingly and goes on over ANYTHING without the residue that regular waxes produce. No worries about trim with the 845.

I have used many different waxes, and the one I like the best is RAINEX , it makes it shine real nice with great protection, and nothing sticks to it, water just beads off, even when washing the car, the soap has a hard time staying on
