Just got a couple questions. I got a 90 240sx I have had for a little bit it is *Auto* and will probably stay that way. I have a back and leg injury and clutching is a pain. I have it completely stock and want to bring it to life. I want to keep the KA in it and keep it auto what is the better route low comp with turbo or Nitrous Kit? Tips and Ideas are always awesome I really appreciate it.

hate the term "tuner scene". but like ^he said go turbo on the KA. putting nitrous on your motor would cost 3 times as much. youd have to prep the bock for that kind of power which is expensive. you can usually get away boosting stock internals depending on condition and as long as its under 10psi. anything more will require upgraded internals. either way please dont put nos on a 240. i beg you

Also do you suggest and turbo kits in specific? Also if anyone has any info on some nice upgrades for tran such as shifters and tran upgrades in general would like to hear.

I thought it was an auto?? If it isn't pick up a new slave cylinder, then a short shifter. Otherwise there is not a whole lot you can do to the automatic. Just keep it well-maintained. Also stiffer motor mounts and trans mount. If its a daily, don't buy solid mounts

Goodluck! :bigthumb:

-Regular maintanance
-New polyeurathane bushing master kit (including subframe bushings)
-Entry level coilovers
-Q45 brakes
-17x9 or better wheels, 235/40 or better tires.
-J30 diff

If you still want more, then piece together a cheap T28 turbo setup for your KA. Avoid N/A bolt-on mods like the plague. They are very close to useless.

I mean, honestly, a 50 shot probably won't hurt anything. It'll be ghetto imo, but what kind of setup, turbo or not, usually isn't?

Personally, since it's automatic, I wouldn't waste my time.

ditto on tuners..... a tuner is the guy who runs my car on the dyno mapping it.

As for bring it to life

Basic maintenance
Seafom it
Plugs, wires, cap rotor, time it
PCV valve, fuel filter, hoses
Coolant flush and bleed
Transflush.... by the dealer only.
