Hey guys I'm new here. I've been into Porsche 914's for quite a while. I absolutely love my 914. It does spend alot of time not running though. So I decided to get something a little more reliable. So I just bought a 94' 240sx convertable. I saw it on ebay & just had to buy it. The original owner decided to hit a pole or a tree. She hit it dead center up front. It put a nice dent in the front bumper. Basically pushing everything up front back a bit. The bumper is toast & I'm having a little trouble locating another one. Any help on aftermarket parts or just a good source is greatly appreciated. Also any general tips on things to look out for would be great. I'm not that familiar with Nissans. It is an auto which kinda sucks. I will probably switch it out when the transmission goes!Well thanks in advance & I look forward to the future in my 240!

seriously, you should look into doing a front end conversion. How much do you want to spend on repairing it? Silvia s13 front end would run you about $1000, or the s15 would run you around $3000. You would truly have a one of a kind car if you do a front end conversion. I NEVER see 240 convertibles, let alone ones with conversion. The S15 conversion would just be amazing! Regardless, good luck with your new car and welcome to the boards!

Where could I see the s13 front & the s15 front at? Anyone have some good pics? Thanks! I did find a bumper & will get it on monday. Doesn't match of course but I knew I wouldn't get that lucky. It's gonna run me $175 which doesn't seem to bad. I still might consider the conversions you are talking about. I'll try to research it some!

Welcome to the board, and congrats on the purchase. Although the front end is definitely jacked, it doesn't seem to be "that bad". Take good care of it. Are you going to keep the same color?

If you ever want to get into seriously modifying the car, consider fixing up the convertable for resale. Then put the money into a coupe or hatchback, with a more rigid body.
