New to forum and Infiniti. M35 Backup Camera question...

I just purchased a 2006 M35 with all the options. The only problem is that the previous owner, for some reason, removed the backup camera. It sounds like the OEM part will be $500+ installed. Does anyone know if there are solid aftermaket parts out there that will do the job? And if so, where I can find them?

Are you sure they removed it? Is the camera physically gone from under the trunk lid? If its there, maybe they just disconnected it for some odd reason

Are you sure you have "all the options"? If someone just removed the backup camera you'd get a blank screen when you put the car into reverse (the camera went out on my G35 and this is what it did). If you still see the "status" screen on the monitor then the car never had a backup camera.
