I am looking at getting a 95 240sx and can get it for $1200.

It has 120,000 miles and is owned by a mechanic that needs to sell it and buy a truck. He is a bud of mine and told me it had a rebuilt title and only needs a new bumper cover and a slight pull of the fender. He is going to replace the front driver side tie rod that is bent. The car besides what I have said is in great shape minus no radio and broke antenna.

Is this a good deal?

It is that dark purple color(looks blk at night) and drives great even with the bent tie rod. Does need brakes but that is about it.

The cruise, air and power windows work great.

Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!

p.s. I think the current bumper cover is not bad except for a split in the very bottom center. Can it be repaired? That is the only part that really needs replaced if at all and paint.

If the car runs good and has no other problems as he says.. then I think its a good deal for S14 for only $1200 even tho its got alot of miles. you can probably get all those fixed with couple of hundred dollars

I would say, not having seen it and by what you have described that it is a good deal. This is assuming it runs well and has no structural damage. If it has a tweaked frame, it would not be worth buying, but if not then I would say yes.

Bumper covers generally are replaced when the are damaged. It will depend on the extent of the split and competence of your body man.

BTW, welcome to NICO! Where in KY are you?

I am in south central KY near Lake Cumberland.(Jamestown)

I trust this guy and he also works at Advanced Auto and can help me with parts. I found a new bumper cover for about $180 but I may just live with it for a while. I currently drive a Chevy 4x4 and ran across this while trying to find a more economical ride back and forth to work. Sure beats the 94 Corolla I was thinking about!

Definitely! $180 for a new bumper cover is a good price, IMO.

You will have a valuable resource here being a 240 owner. There are people on this board that know everything about them and can help you with whatever problem you may encounter.

We also have a large presence in Kentucky. Our meets have been in Bowling Green, but the next one will be June 28th here in Indy.

Get the 240. It'll be fun and worth fixing up. Good to have you on the board!

Thanks for the welcome!

I will have fun and frustration with this car!....lol...

I grew up in Indy and my sis still lives there and is building a new house in Southport. She just sold her house in Greenwood.
