New to forum and 1st g35 03 sedan

Just wanted to know a little about the car reliablity things to look for. I have had a nissan murano for 3 years great vehicle. This g35 is very nice great power drives great. It has 100 grand on the odometer. Still strong as ever. I do have slight wheel shake on roads that are not smooth. Thanks for your help and look forward to talking with you guys. Any performance upgrade ideas also would be helpful.

Welcome to NICO! The 03-04 G35s for the most part, do not have any serious issues. However, there are a few small issues to keep a look out for. The Air Conditioner / Stereo circuit board and Stereo head deck are pretty well known issues. They will eventually fail (search the boards and you'll see numerous posts). Next would be that the brakes were a bit dusty. Not sure if there was a fix for it though. The headlight lenses can haze over. Not really a big deal, you just need to polish them with a good plastic cleaner. Finally, the paint on the front bumper is very susceptible to chipping. I had to have my bumper repainted...but then it was better than new and more durable.

Oh, and I would get a tire shop to balance your tires and do an alignment for the wheel shake

Ya those should run well out and into 250k miles with no problems. Just be sure to get it serviced by the dealer!!

Thanks a lot. I appreciate yalls help. Yeah I already have the radio issue it goes out for like 5 minutes and then comes back on haha. Getting a new radio already. Look forward to using this site!!

I also understand brakes are not the best on the 03-04 years. After all the issues they started using Brembo 14" rotors.

You will get a lot more info froms these guys. They are very experieneced with these cars and know them inside and out.
