new to engine rebuilding

Im about to buy just a Ka24de. to build the motor up and gain some automotive knowledge.

I have no idea how an engine works except for the pistons go up and down and makes power lol. In other words i dont know SH*T.

my question to you is should i waste the money to but the ka which is like 300 bucks or just have some shop do it for some rediculous price.

free up a weekend and get a friend or two and do it its a lot of fun and you learn a lot you'll have a good time with your friends and learn how to build an engine just remember clean clean clean the F*ck out of everything!!!!! but its a lot of fun make sure theres no old guy around because he'll tell you how to do everything and that makes it no fun
