I've been drifting on the streets for about a year now, and i'm ready to get more involved with it. I already own a 93 rx-7 that i'm ready to start drifting on tracks and in comp's. My question is where can i get more involved with drifting, as far as compettions and where i can go practices meets and all that. I'm new to all this aspect of drifting.I plan on also buying a s14 to drift with too. I live in ohio if that can help any too. Any help would be apperciated.

search the internet for drift events that happen near you.i have no idea who does any over there.

you might even have to pioneer the drift scene where you live. just start asking around.

if that all fails. keep to street drifting. that is far more exciting in my opinion.

I live in the area too(about a hour south of you) and there isn't $#!* around here. There is supposed to be an event in cincinatti soon but there is no word back on that yet. I'm trying my damnest to get some $$$ together, wether it be investers, donations, grants, or loans, to build a track down here in dayton. no luck on that yet. I hope maybe soon they will have an event at the mid-Ohio track. I've seen vids of it and it looks sweet. besides that all I've heard of is events over in indiana, michigan, and illinois. I think I can remember one in pensylvania, and possibly virginia. really just keep your eyes open on this forum and wait till spring. I'm not too happy about the whole situation though, because I won't be able to enter any till july 23rd because I don't have a license at the moment(btw: I HATE COPS) and most of the event's I've seen won't let you participate unless you have a license.

keep cheking on the internet to see if anyone is holding an event...

If not, do what Brian said.... you be the pioneer of it in your area.

you hold the event... get a bunch of people together... rent out a track or something and there you have it.. your own personal event for you and your friends....don't forget to buy plenty of cones
