Hi, my name is Brad and i have 2 z32's. Problem is, one doesnt run and was used as a parts car... other was recently the victim of a hit and run. So i have to frankenstein one of them to being back to 100%.
Im doing this myself mostly because i want to know my car but i have close to no experience with this engine besides a plenum pull to change a gasket.

I need some pointers on rebuilding this car from the ground up.

These are the upgrades i have:
K&N intake
Stillen true dual exhaust
Z1 ecu
Z1 short throw shifter
And some other cosmetic upgrades

Thanks in advance

So how much are you looking to swap? Basically ALL the mechanicals from the side-swiped car over to the former parts car?

What kind of resources do you have available? Just a jack/jack stands, or a lift, or a forklift?

I just have a jack and stands but i plan on getting an engine hoist and stand.
Im rebuilding the parts car and its tt engine im just using what i can from the na to rebuild the body and interior.
Also can i use the 5spd trans from the na on the tt? It only has 45xxx miles instead of the 118xxx on the tt

I THINK the trans is the same, however the clutch and rear end are different.

Nissan trannies are usually pretty bullet proof though. Do you have any issues out of the 118k tt trans?

No problems with the Trans that I know of. But the other one is alot lighter used so I was going to swap them while they are out.

Transmissions are generally the same, the bell housing is a little smaller in the NA than the TT, but if you have the TT one, just swap the housing and it you will be just fine. Everything else is the virtually the same, the speed sensor is the same but the gearing is different that is on the sensor, very simple to swap out, either way it will work just fine. It will make your speedo off using the tt gear on a NA rear end, I think about 5-10 mph, about where mine is at.

The gears might be a little more stout in the TT, but plenty of people have used an NA trans on a TT with no issues, but that is with stock HP maybe a little more.
