First off I would like to say hello to everyone on the CA side of NICO. I have a few questions because I know very little about CA18DET'S. Right now I have mildly modified 95 240. It still has the stock KA24DE in it and I've been wanting to swap in a CA18 for quite some time now. I just wanted to know what year motor I would have to get, if the CA uses the same motor and trans mounts, and what has to be changed to get a CA in there, and how hard it is. Is it similar to swapping in a SR, or is it harder. I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance.

I live in southern MD. I just wasn't to sure of the compatabilty of a CA18 with an s14 chasis. I know the sr would fit just fine, but the wiring for either one is going to be a b****

Also, right now my car is an automatic, so would the auto to manual swap for the KA to SR be the same for the KA to CA.

It should be because the CA swap into an s13 is just like an sr swap. So im assuming Whatever is needed for the sr swap would be needed for a ca swap.

There is maybe 2, 1 for sure that have done the Ca>s14 swap. Wiring IIRC was the biggest issue. Hope that helps.

I've got a CA in my S14. I bought it like that from the previous owner and he tried to swap it in. The wiring is all jacked up in it, so I'm going standalone. Just have to save so I can buy it haha

I talked to Taylor Durdan through e-mail and he can wire the CA to the S14, shoot him an email.

That's what I'll be getting. It replaces your stock ECU and allows you to fine tune just about anything. A lot of your questions can be answered in the sticky's and FAQs.

Doesn't really do a whole lot unless yer at wide open throttle, which isn't too often for me. I had the extra money in ebay bucks, so it was no lost for me what so ever. And some s***bag locked the damn thread
