I was checking out my new baby over real well today and even tho some of the components were missing due to the last owner, I saw what looked to me to be two small amps in the trunk. Im guessing im wrong but what are they? I want to put in some 07 Fusions or Audiobahns (Getting whatever at price!) in the stock places with maybe a sub to come later and the Alpine IDA-X001 head unit. The reason I ask is should I keep whatever they are and hook them up or what? I searched to try to figure out what they were, but no luck. Thanks

They are the factory amps. I would just get a new head unit and run a small aftermarket amp. They don't really have a lot of power.

I recommend against the brands you listed.

Let me know your price range and design goal and we'll help you design an awesome system

My goal is to have a nice sounding system. I dont want the ultra-loud bass-thumping all the time. I guess clarity throughout and some thump. This is my daily but the interior is like a project due to the last owner. Im looking to spend 200-300 on speakers and new tweeters, 200-300 on a head unit, 200 or so on on some 8-10 inch subs, and whatever on wiring, crossovers, amp, ect.

I'm going to recommend a pair of DLS RS6 all around.

DLS is one of the best sounding speakers I've ever heard.

Well you obviously know something with your almost 12K worth of posts so ill have to do some research. What would you recommend for subs, amps, wiring, and the rest? Keep in mind I know very little but do I really want 2-way speakers? Dont I want something that can hold a little more than 80 watts? I may not want it to blare all the time but I would like the choice! With the 92 dB sensitivity, does that mean everything below needs to be picked up by the subs?

For the sub I'm going to recommend something from TC SOund.

I personally liked the DB500s that they sold, but they discontinued them.

Instead ni'll recommend the 12" TC9 from them. I'd compare it to a JL Audio 12w6. When it is in stock it is about ~$160 shipped. One of those should be plenty. Or if you want more get another one.

For the speakers, up front you absolutely want components. Meaning the midrange and tweeter are seperated and you get a real crossover. The back you don't have to have components, but two sets of those RS6s would be awesome for only ~$240 total! LOL

For wiring don't go for any of the marketing BS. Go to ebay and type in Elemental Designs. There should be some 2awg and 4awg for about ~$1 a foot that comes up. That's pretty inexpensive for high strand count power wire.
