Well I pick up my 350z tomorrow (or saturday if I have to work late). Trading in my subaru wrx for it....

I picked up a 2004 white with black cloth, completely stock 350z. It has 37000 miles (thus no warranty ) and the end purchase price was $18,600. The car originally was priced for $22,900 and after a long fight with the dealer I had him to $19,988, then finally $18,600 TODAY.

So everything is finalized and I'll be driving one home tomorrow!

Anyway hopefully some one can help me here, I think the clutch in it is a little worn (one of the reasons I talked the dealer down - I hear clutches are EXPENSIVE). At least its something I'm not used to. It seems to engage a little too far off the floor, while my subaru clutch grabs about 2-4'' off the floor. I know two completely different cars are going to feel completely different when it comes to shifting, but I was a bit weary on that part.

Other than that, the car is absolutely mint and I love it.

Welcome to the Z-side....

What exactly do you mean by "off the floor"? I assume you mean when you depress the clutch it works faster than what you are used to?

Thanks guys.

I simply mean that when I am starting out I have to let the clutch off the floor more than compared to my wrx for it to engage.

But my subaru has a brand new clutch as of 3k miles ago, so its probably just normal clutch wear

Hmmm. Might be. The only Z's I've driven all had a number of miles on them so I do not know how a "new" clutch should engage. I do know Greg's "new" clutch in his G is a stiff-biach tho

Yeah its not too smooth but it engages and holds very nicely, it doesnt seem weak at all it just seems different to me
