Welcome to NICO!

I'm not sure I understand your question. Tuning a car isn't dependent on upgrades.
Do you mean "What upgrades I make on a car will require a re-tune to run correctly"?

Things like changing injectors for higher flowing ones, cams/or cam gears, or aftermarket ECU installs will require a tune.

Whoever told you that must drive a subbie or a DSM and know nothing about z32s :frown:

No you don't need a re-tune for an upgraded exhaust.

Welcome to NICO!!! There are tons of things that will require a retune on a Z32, exhaust is not one of them.

Wow Anton nailed it haha.

I bet it was funny seeing people upgrade their exhaust then complain about how their car ran like crap. Did that happen often or did most subby owners know that they needed a retune with the exhaust? I'm just curious.

Gotta love 90's Nissan ECCS system. Unless you really messed with stuff, the MAFS would see the extra air flow from bolt-on mods, and the ECU would simply compensate. So simple, but so effective.
