what is your budget? Low budget get an S13 (89-94) High budget and you want something nicer? Get an S14 (95-98) As far as what you should do? Make sure you get a quality rear differential. Unless you are on a tight budget, then u can always weld the diff but i dont recommend that... Also a good set of coilovers and RUCAS (Rear upper control arms) those will help you dial in your rear camber for the track. Are you planning to daily drive this drift car? or is it track only? If track only then delete all unnecessary interior panels/seats/AC stuff under dash/etc and put a roll cage in it. Depending on the motor you have the KA has great torque and is fun to slide around with.. the SR20DET is a great motor with a turbo that makes drifting almost effortless. You can always add a turbo to the KA motor but if not done right and you cut corners, it will inevitably blow up. hope this helps..

u can get KA's for cheap.. SR Swaps go for 1500+ 1500 being a PoS with problems.

there are so many answers to that.. it varies significantly.. if u found an S14 shell or something for a good price build that, hell.. you never told me a budget.. do you know absolutely nothing of what you want? have you done ANY research?

S13 is older, therefor cheaper.

get ur suspension and drivetrain in check first man. coilovers and adjustable EVERYTHING also get a differential for the rear. there are many OEM LSD's that should bolt right into the rear with the swap of the axels too usually. as stated before, the ka has enough torque to get the car sliding but has a hard time doing any really smokey stuff. if you can.. find a car for like 1500-2k buy coilovers and a decent set of wheels/tires. nothing crazy tho to keep the tire cost down when u shred thru ur sets. gut the f*** out with the exception of the two front seats, dash, etc. get a cage put in it. see how u like it an mod it accordingly to suit your tastes.. if you've come THAT far and done some trial an error an talked to some people at events then you should know by then what to do next... goodluck, man

Welcome. There is a search button on the top right that works wonders, you can find just about all of your answers by searching.

S13s are very very common and SRs aren't too difficult to come by. The SR swap is common because it's a stock turboed motor that drops right in. Most parts are also cheap and easy to come by. KA's usually cost more to build on top of the cost of a turbo kit, but if don't right it can really pay off with the torque it can produce.

Also ridiculous wobble, your sig is a little too big.

Ok that's a desent decent budget. I would recommend to get a car and an SR but make sure it runs perfect before dropping more money into other parts. Suspension is also almost just as important as power.

Moved to 240Gen.

OP, my advice is that if you have to ask the questions in your first post, you have no business doing either of the things you want to do.

Take the advice of others here and learn about what you're getting in to. It's rewarding but can quickly turn into a huge money-pit if you aren't prepared (plus there are a lot of idiots out there who started a 240 project, bailed on it, and have no qualms about giving you a royal a**-reaming just to recoup some of their own losses.
