new to 240sx....got car starts then problems...

ok so i was a member of the mitsu family for 3 years.

traded the eclipse for a 91 240sx. hatch. auto. have the 5 spd transmission in garage dont plan on swapping until get car running perfect.

anyway the day i got the car it started perfect. ran for 5 minutes then when i acceled the car died (no fuel) then got it back to the house. changed plugs, wire, cap, rotor. and battery. went to start it runs for about 10 seconds then dies out. i can keep it running idleing IF i keep on gas. but i have to keep it going non stop.

whats is maybe causeing it to die out????

then i got a high pitch WHINING sound as well. im thinking power steering but i topped it off and still whines. what can it be????

the car has 175xxx its a k24. so yea.......help???

i dont know thats the thing.. and the check engine light is on but when i went to check it its clear like nothings wrong. 55.

but when the engine is on then it reads that the light is on..... i dont

and that asi tube from the exhaust where is it supposed to be connected or onto wat???

its just......there. lol

i don't understand what asi means. Simply put all vacuum lines are supposed to connect to the intake pipe.

i "think" it means air system intake. not sure.

but like there is a metal hose that comes off from the exhaust and is just sitting there, dont know where the heck it connects to.........and im 80% sure its the asi tube....

you need to research this tutorial and find out if the emissions items were deleted.

i figuired it out.

it was the egr valve that didnt have any vacuum hose on it. and the brake booster hose is just dangling there.

my intake was connected to the throttle body.

i dont know why i didnt see any of this before...

where in the world does the darn egr valve nipple go to ???? like i put a hose on it and looked but i dont know where it connects to........

brake booster fixed..

i looked at some diagrams of the vaccummm on the ka24de's but there isnt any way i look at it it doesnt show me where the opposite end of the egr valve goes to....

exhaust pipe. There should be a metal line going to it. It's normally capped! or you could get a egr block off plate. delete that bish.

no thats not the one im talking about...i know that part lol

thats on the bottom of the egr valve im talking about the top of it. there is a nipple there and it vacuums but idk where it goes.
