Ahh Hello Family!

lol

Anyways, I coming to you guys because I was sick of my Honda Civic and everybody and their grandma having one. I am buying a 1991 or 1992 Coupe 240SX 5spd. I am converting it to an S13 Silvia. Motor to body. I have a budget of 10k inlcuding car. can it be done? another question, what is the best way to upgrade the stock SR20 turbo SAFELY? and one last question, is there an invention out there that, when you shut your ignition off on your car it can delay the engine shut off for a minute or so? I want this so I can allow time for the turbo to cool after driving. I want this device on a toggle so I can turn it on when neccessary. Oh and you know of a car like this for sale let me know. I would like white.thanx for the help Brad:help

its called a turbo timer..they are sold by all the popular manufacturers.

10,000 budget can be done if you find a car for a cheap price.

I see I'm not alone in changing from a civic to the 240. I've already found the car I want to buy but have yet to get rid of my cockroach. And yeah, you're right; everybody, there grandma and the dog drives a civic.Incidentally, that's the car I'll be buying my wife, when I find one and convince her to marry me.

I'm new here also but welcome to the board. You may want to seek out this guy named Daunttless but stay away from Freak. Remember, there are 2 TT's in daunTTless. (i beleive he gets kinda touchy about his TTs)

One more thing, take some time and read through the old Posts. You'll learn so so freaking much you wouldn't beleive. That's what I've been doing fer the past week or so.

They just gave me DSl access at work.......Oh I pitty the fools...he he he

Hey guys.Daunttless is the man to see about your motors and other imported parts. (yes, even the JDM headlights)

As for turbo timers, just buy a good boost controller with the timer function.

All of this (maybe even a turbo upgrade) can be done easily for less than $10,000 by doing it yourself, and following books and instructions from others who have done the same thing.

The turbo timers are cheap, small and very easy to install with idiotproof instructions usually. Some even can decide how long they want to let the engine idle, all you do is leave. Mine is preset at 1 min.

You can safely get power by getting the bolt ons, the stock piping will eventually kill the SR turbo so start off with 3 in downpipe and 3in exhaust and of course an intake.

I had 9500 to spend on my car and the only thing I wont be able to accomplish is the bodywork, paint costs too much. I still have money left.
