Need some advice on new tires. Driving style is spirited :chuckle: I drive 50 Miles on the highway per day. Good bit of rain here and I explore on the weekends gravel/dirt. Any ideas?

1.Steering response
2.Hydroplane Resistance
3.Wet/Dry Grip
4.Noise Level
5.Offroad Grip
6.Treadwear
7.Cost

I just got a set of Yokohama Geolandar AT/S in 255/65/16 (stock size). I had a set of getting-bald Yokohama Geolandar HT/S in the same size. The AT/S have great wet weather performance, are not very noisy, and were relatively inexpensive (though I purchased them online at Discount Tire when they had a $100 mail-in-rebate offer - this may still be going on). Steering is better, but that may very well be due to new front / rear struts & shocks and new strut mounts. No idea about offroad performance, sorry.

Ditto on the Yokohama AT/S tires - Haven't had much off road use either -
Good w/rain here the Pacific Northwest though . Mine are 245-70-16 - slight rub
when backing up occasionally.

I've got Michelin LTX M/S and they seem to perform very well.

Granted they are the only tires I've had on the Pathy so I can't really compare them to anything...

1.Steering response
-Adequate

2.Hydroplane Resistance
- I live in the rainiest part of Canada and I've only hydroplaned twice while in 2WD mode

3.Wet/Dry Grip
-Adequate. in 2WD I can slip if it is rainy and I launch off the line.

4.Noise Level
-Adequate

5.Offroad Grip
- I've only been on forest service roads and I've never been stuck

6.Treadwear
-They are rated for some huge interval like 100-160 k km or something and I believe them. I've driven 30k km on them and they look just like I got them

7.Cost
They came with the truck, but I did have to replace one of them on account of a nail in the sidewall.... One tire cost $225 with a hook-up.
