I'm thinking about getting some Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 for my 07 G35s. The stock wheel size is 225/50/18 front and 245/45/18 rear. How well would 235/50/18 front and 255/45/18 rear fit and drive on the stock wheels. I've seen all the online tire calcs and there only appears to be a difference of ~1% but I'm not sure what all this means. Will they fit. tirerack.com got them for $190 and $229 respectively. Much better than the >$700 the dealer wanted for rears only.

I'm not sure for the size, it's OK for outside diameter, I think it's OK for width but I don't have a sedan. All I can say is that I had F1 GS-D3 on my '99 Prelude and it was crazy grip, and treadwear is better than other maximum performance summer. And I'm not a Goodyear fan. So go for it if width fits!

The 1% difference shouldn't cause any problems, especially since you're going larger on both the front and back tires.

Your speedo will be off by about 1 mph for every 100 mph you go.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm still open to suggestions for tires. Im waiting for a bit more wear on my stock fronts so I can change them all together. I wanted the GS-D3's because of what I read about tire wear and quiet ride, my two top qualities in a tire. Performance is a close third, wet traction not very important. Here in SoCal the most water my tires see is a stray sprinkler shooting across the road.

The GS-D3s seemed to be the best all around. And they look good to boot!!
