Sorry Grant, I have 20 years of history with these guys.
I did, however use your advice on the Sumitomo HTR+ tires.
Back to the tires...
I went up to a 255/45/17, which will give me a 1" wider treadwidth than the 225/50/17 that I currently have. Also, the tread is not uni-directional, so rotations will be better balbanced, and (hopefully) the tire noise will be less than the NITTO's. Another benefit, is, now I have the correct load rating for the car.
I am just getting 2 rears, now. The right front inner tread looked a bit scary, so I opted for a replacement. I do too much early-morning and late-evening trips to chance a flat.
In about a month, I will get 2 fronts, and then I can do an alignment.
I am taking a trip to Panama City, this Friday, so I can do a road test.
