The wheels are +35mm offset. There is considerable wheel gap when sitting still so I think my struts are just shot. Saw thick rubber ring (ripped off from somewhere up top) sitting at the base of the piston. I'll take pics of the wheel gap later.elwesso wrote:What are your offsets?
You may not want to do any camber correction as a little extra camber will clear.
Ive also heard of people having probelms with the splash guard running 245-45. Mainly the one on the drivers side that has the vents on it.
It's rubbing on the passenger side. I gotta stop ridin with yo momma!CrimsonQ wrote:Drew you been packing on the pounds?
Are your dust boots original or have you replaced them once before? What brand/model tire did you buy?DrewQ45 wrote:The dust boots are now nothing more than multiple bands of rubber sitting at the bottom.
GT Radial Champiro 328 ZR rated tires size 245/45/18. Dust boots never replaced as far as I know.lino wrote:

Gotta admit, ya got me there, nice burnDrewQ45 wrote:

Yeah, I was wondering why you had no rubbing since it seems your tires extend above your fender lip in your sig pic.CrimsonQ wrote:

Im an idiot, i forgot my fenders are rolled. I assume mine might rub had the fenders been "normal"
So is Joe the best deal going? I hate to ask what the damage$ will be. Damn Q!!!!DrewQ45 wrote:I really didn't want to invest this much into lowering but I guess I need new struts anyway. So who has the best sales on rubber boot and bump stops? I don't care if aftermarket.
Very true tech. Funny how it's only the passenger side rubbing though. I'm hoping that new shocks/rubber will do the trick. If not, at least I'll have new shocks then I'll sell the CC springs.Q45tech wrote:Remember different brands in the exact same listed size are often very different...............20mm steps ~~ 0.787" so a 1/4" here and there would easily be in spec.
Steering rack rubber is only a few years old, Tension rods are Stillen adjusties. Upper links are about 4 years old. Sway bar rubber could probably use replacing. I love the wheels.maxnix wrote:Close to $400 with all the shock rubber, more with sway bar, endlinks, steering rack rubber.
As new tension rod bushings and upper links necessary for good alignment, assuming everything else is up to snuff.
Interesting wheels.
