My suggestion is to check out "tirerack.com" and research the exact size/Michelin tire you are looking at. Tirerack is an excellent place to read the characteristics as well as thousands of user reviews.

I can't remember the name/version yet I looked at the Michelin's at Costco as well for the wifes 09 LE.. I figure she has about 5-8K left on the OEM's.

I second that suggestion. I purchased the replacement tires for my Morano through tirerack.com. I ordered them around 5pm one day and they were delivered the next day. I had made arrangements with a local tire installer to put them on and balance for $50. Overall I saved over $200 going the tirerack route.

Try the Yokohamo Parada 235/55R20 at tirerack.com for $196 or the Toyo Versado CUV P235/55/20 for $197 at treadepot.com or tiresdirect.net.

May be a little late to jump into this thread, but I will anyway. I'm a little leary of the Michelins Cross-Terrains right now. Mine are on a '04 Murano. I replaced the OEM at 28,000 with the Michelin's. I now have 60K and basically these tires are near gone. I've been struggling with these tires for a year now, complaining to the tire dealer. They sound like I have winter tread on my vehicle(very noisy). I've had the vehicle aligned twice in the past 13 months. Tire Dealer just wants to keep rotating them or claiming my shocks & struts are bad. Nissan dealer say's shock & struts are fine and agrees front end is aligned. Anybody else struggling with their Michelin Cross Terrains. Nissan dealer is promoting the Korean Tire Kumo to me now at almost a 50% difference between these and new Michelins. Anybody running Kumo's?

Hey Murano 2009 LE owners,

Forget about buying the OEM size (235/55/20) when you need new tires as there aren't many choices available. In the OEM size you basically can get a Michelin Latitude HP, Yokohama Parada Spec, and a Toyo CUV, other than that you are SOL. I thought about what I was going to do for replacement tires for months and last week I finally pulled the trigger. My Toyo A20's were sounding horrible with so much road noise the last three or four months that it was getting unbearable. They had 34,500 miles on them and were getting close to the wear bars.

I've been a Tire Rack customer since the mid 1990s and I called up there to ask them about some other sizes. I ended up going with the 265/50/20 and what a difference!! This size is roughly an inch wider and looks much better on the stock LE wheels than the OEM size they chose at the factory. I purchased the new Yokohama Avid Envigor and the folks who mounted them for me at Big O indicated there was plenty of clearance. The footprint of the tire with this bigger size is much improved from the rear and side. I had a 4 wheel alignment done at the same time to ensure my new tires will start off their life right. The 265/50s are only 0.2 inches taller than the 235/55s and are about an inch wider. I cannot stress enough for those of you who have an 09 or 10 LE to forget about the other choices you have in the OEM size and go with the 265/50s. The revs per mile are very similar to the OEM size (682 vs 689), so the spedo is very close to accurate as well. I'm so happy I have this decision behind me and my Murano drives better now than the day I drove it off the dealer lot. I just thought I'd post for those who need new tires.

I also went for a change in size. I chose the 255/55R20 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza. I agree with the previous post that they look and ride far better than the original tires. They have a 65K warranty and are extremely quiet. It does change the speedometer slightly as they are just a bit larger, but there is no clearance problems and are far superior than any of the stock size options.

Ernie

FYI - anyone looking for replacement 235/55/20 tires for the Murano LE, tiresdirect.net has the Toyo Versado CUV for $185. From what I can tell that is one of, if not the best price on the internet.

The person I spoke to also said the OEM Toyo Proxes A20 are 'shaved' to 9/32 from 11/32 in order to give a better ride to your new Murano. He said that Nissan makes all of the tire manufacturers do this and it is the reason OEM tires only last 25,000 - 30,000 miles.
