Something to keep in mind: an all-season tire is not going to perform as well in snow as snow tires, nor will it perform as well as summer tires in summer.InfinitiMe wrote:Looking at the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S and Goodyear Eagle F1 . Yes, but Tire Rack has made arrangements with many local places in the country to install tires - they will even drop ship to the place of your choice if you want to avoid lugging the home-delivered tires to the installation place!SteveTheTech wrote:I know a few of the dealers in this are will not mount tire rack tires, a few others will.
How well are snow tires going to perform in 40 degree dry weather? Because if A/s are better thats what I want. We get 4 snow storms here a year max, which normally result in less than 6 inches of snow each. I dont think I need true snow tires. I need tires which can handle the cold temps, while providing excellent grip. The summer tires get hard.szhosain wrote:

What a coincidence. I was close to buying the Goodyears right after I posted this thread and thought "i should wait to hear from people first; what if someone says they're loud as hell or soemthing." And here you post this. This can only mean I'm psychic. Thanks for the heads up. I would deeply regret riding on loud tires.ArbitrageMan wrote:I replaced a good set of Michelins on my previous car with Goodyear Eagle F1s. The grip was better, but the road noise was SIGNIFICANT. Driving home from having them installed I noticed the difference. Had I known, I probably would have stayed away from them.
i have the 18" stock wheels. I'm having the dealer do everything.SteveTheTech wrote:
I would have to say the Neros. They have a unbelievable deal going on for them, plus they are asymmetrical so they can be cross rotated to even out wear. I also strongly suggest getting your alignment done with a total toe adjustment set to ~0.04 degrees of total toe. Also pick wisely who you have mount your tires the 19" wheels scratch really easily. I know a few of the dealers in this are will not mount tire rack tires, a few others will.
That is likely to be a perfectly fine tire too!InfinitiMe wrote:I got the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position XL.
I am in the market for new tires myself. I think I will get either of theseInfinitiMe wrote:Looking at the Pirelli Pzero Nero M&S and Goodyear Eagle F1 . Both are all season tires. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm in the DC area so need something for dry/wet/snow

Welcome to NICO, in case I have not done so yet!HootyDootyMan wrote:I bought 3 sets of tires from tirerack and had them drop shipped. Very easy and the recommendations for installers was excellent. (I don't work for tirerack). Would definitely do it again.
