Hello..I am almost ready to replace tires on my Q.. I have the 18" w/ premium package...I am looking for quality performance .. Question is : I can get decent tires for about $140 each or go all the way w/ Michelins or perhaps Goodyear??Should I stick w/ the Michelin Pilots or go w/ the PS2 s.. or another brand..Considering the size of the car, which set-up is best?.. I am willing to sacrifice some quiteness for overall grip! Please advise.. and thanks much!Haggis

PS2 are hands down the best tire I have driven, period.

The Goodyear F1 DS G3 are quite good. The Pirelli Rosso is the current Tire Rack darling.

Read the sticky in Infiniti General. I know Q45tech ditched the Kumhos at 10K because they required so mcuh shifting weight to balance. I ditched the Direzza DZ101 at 10K for cupping.

In tires, you basically get for what you pay. Testimonials are OK, but with the caveats that even new bad tires are better initially than worn out good tires, lighter cars do not stress tires as much as the heavier Q45, and most have spent thier life in touring or third tier tires like Hankook, Cooper, BFG, etc. and have no clue what a top tier tire can do for you. Also, 2 years or 20K-25K is the life of any decent performance tires. Anything that goes 50K -60K is way too hard and braking performance and wet and dry grip are not up to OEM standards.
