I have a 2001 QX4 and need a new set of tires, the stock Bridgestone is not bad and suggestion? Thanks.

I obviously suggest Hankook RH06 Ventus ST in 275/60/17.

$108 per tire, no tax, free shipping. 4*108=$432 shipped to your door. Walmart will mount and balance them for $10.00 per tire so $40 for all 4. That includes lifetime rotation and balancing.

UTQG: 420/A/A , stock is UTQG: 180/B/B

So they will last about 2.3 times longer than your stock bridgestones and much better grip.

I swapped my stock bridgestone at 45k. I have 55k on my car now and couldn't be happier.

I replaced mine just recently, after 55,000 with Michelin LTX/MS 245/65 x 17's...Which were the original equipment tires on my 2001 QX4...

Didn't really consider anything else...Especially not Bridgestones

Chedman13,

275/6017 don't you think the stock rims may not fit? or you also replace the rims ?

Hankooks look nice...But...

I'd be hesitant on getting the Hankooks especially if you are going to use your QX4 to go backroading of up in snow country...

The highway patrol see's those they'll make you put chains on...

This is true. They are M & S Rated, but are mainly a high performance tire. I have yet to use them in Chicago snow (I'll write back in a year), but I'm sure that they can't be worse than OEM bridgestone Dueler H/T 689 in snow.

I put Uniroyal all terrains on mine (99). I hate them. I have 50k on them, and they still seem to have 50% tread left, and I rode them hard. (2) of the tires have gone bad. They never were able to balance them very well. They cause an awful vibration at speeds of 50-65 MPH. I had an alignment shop check out the vehicle, and they found the (2) unbalanceable tires.

My wife's Sequoia has Michellins, and it rides great.

I want either mMichs, or perhaps some Yokohama Geolanders, but since I just bought a motor, I guess I am stuck with the Uniroyals for now.

What's a good tire size to use to get that "fat tire" look? I have a 2001 pathfinder.

I finally brought the Goodyear Wrangle SilentArmor and this is a new tire and I really like it. Look good and quite on road. Because I live in New England (Boston) I need the tire to run four season. We have about 80 - 100 inches of snow a year. Thanks for all the inputs.

REMEMBER THIS NAME -- "NOKIAN"

this tire comes in many sizes and will fit your stock rim.

the tire I have is a Nokian WR-SUV. Rated for an SUV this tire is classed as all season but has a rating for "winter tire"

Wet , dry, Snow pack - traction is excellent especially in all wheel drive in my QX4

They will cost you but this is truly a case where "you get what you pay for".

Happy Shopping...
