I have read the Tire FAQ and really appreciate the wealth of information there but I am not as concerned about ultra performance as I am road noise and tread ware. I have a 2002 Q45 with 05 M45 8 spoke rims on the car. The tires on now are Goodyear RSA's 245/45/18"s and wore out pretty fast. I mainly do highway driving and live in Louisiana so we get our fair share of rainy days. Snow is not an issue. I am looking for a relatively quiet tire that will provide good tread ware and if I decide to drive a little aggressive it should not roll over on itself. As for cost, it is always an issue but I want a good tire and am ready to spend up to $250 each if it is worth the extra money.

I hope I gave you enough information.

Thanks again for the information this site provides.

by "wearing out pretty fast" did you have a more specific number to go off of... like by that do you mean 10k miles or 30k

I bought them as take offs with the rims and they had very little ware on them. I think I got about 15,000 mile out of them.

looking at tire rack my hands down choice would be the contipro contact from the survey results and reviews, it sounds like its pretty much what youre looking for

there really arent that many options in that size, these looked to be the best by far
