no the front is factory but since I have black interior it looks tinted. I can imagine the need for police to be able to see in the car is more important in such an area as DC than it is in old money Tennessee lol.Solini wrote:Did you tint the front windshield? I know a lot of people here in the Wash DC area are doing that, but have heard stories of cops making people peel their tint off right there on the side of the road You guys are lucky police in this area really have nothing better to do and harass people for tint all the time, I think 40% is now the legal limit Nice looking puddle lights, what kit did you use? I was going to install mine but realized without a body kit you would be able to see them from the side
the aimgain show car has no tint on the fronts...Haitian_King wrote:Same in NJ.
Basically, anything that makes your car look really hot, is illegal.
My friend rewired his tail lights in his Maxima and made the turn signals the brake lights and the red lights the turn signals and the cops made him change it.
My dad doesn't want me to tint my front windows, but I refuse to have a half tinted Q.
I don't care if I get pulled over, I don't carry any contraband and I don't allow anyone other than my family and my roommates in my car anyway.
But once I get these tints, I can kiss the free state inspection goodbye. I'll have to pay 70 for the private inspection.
yea I had 35% in the front to comply with the law but it looked like **** so he ripped it off and put 15 all around. Mine is Llumar film and has the same deal.VJ1 wrote:Tint looks great! You're quite daring at 15% though. I did 35% on my frontwindows and 20% in the back. 35% is the darkest the front can be legally in Florida. I used Formula 1 tint, lifetime warranty anywhere in the country, scratch resistant, fade resistant and no turning purple. $235.00 and worth every penny.Vandi.
Took my shop (who specs in lux cars) 2 hoursHaitian_King wrote:About how long does it take for the tints to be installed? Is it an all day project?
15% will get u caught up here too, depending on how the law feel,**** sometimes 20 will get u a ticket cuz its hard to find 15%. Its either 20 or 5%. Front window tint tho, u goin down!lasoyafan wrote:the police around here have bigger fish to fry. I have never heard of someone being pulled over for tint here... When I move to montgomery in a few months I may have some problems but I'll just try to keep my fronts rolled down some.
You goin to the car show this sunday at U of Maryland College Park? I'll get you some info if you want. I'll be there with my gf.vgeezy31885 wrote:

I KNOW you're going this sunday SoliniSolini wrote:Honestly the best tint that I have seen is by Johnson Film, I think that's the name. Their tint has a nice reflection to it. I just talked to a buddy of mine and am considering doing like 50% tint on my front windshield just to knock of some of the glare when the sun is in front of you or sun setting. And before people start their complaining a lot of the S500 that have that purplish tint are factory 50% tinted
thanks homieHaitian_King wrote:Flipping nice.
That's how I want my Q to look this summer.
