Hey, until you've encountered the things he has, you can say nothing.

Just FYI, the logic of "well, I've never been caught" isn't very, well, logical.
well guess what, everybody does it, and even if you don't want to admit it, I am sure you do too.

50%>35%, what does that have to do with being legal in CA??

Sure I do - I speed almost daily, within some false "less-than-10-over-won't-be-so-noticeable" belief, and I've never had a speeding ticket. I just don't condone such behavior to others under that logic, however, it's just a personal decision.

Actually, as you've already pointed out, 50%<35% tint-wise, as it lets more light through.

The tint job looks great. I'm planning on going darker with mine, but it's all personal preference.

I'm also a little mad that Illinois law says I can't put any tint on the 2 front windows, so I think it's going to look a little funny with tint on the 2 rear windows and the back window. Something is better than nothing, I guess.

I agree that tinting only the back and leaving the front untinted just doesn't look right. Full tinting looks much sportier. Here in BC it is also illegal to tint anything in front of the driver. I went ahead and did tint all around (except the windshield) at 35%. In doing so I understand that I do it at my peril. After talking to several police officer friends in several jurisdictions the consensus was that I am unlikely to be pulled over specifically for the tint. However if I were pulled over for another reason they would ticket for the tint as well. I think the tint all around with the addition of the side vent visors on the black V makes it look awesome. I'll post pics when I get around to taking some.

As far as putting dark tint such as limo tinting all around, I would question why do it. From a police officer's perspective it certainly would give the impression that someone has something to hide. It gives your car that "gangsta" look. And why would anyone want that?

In AZ, if an officer pulls you over for a traffic violation, chances are good he'll also issue a fix-it ticket for the front tint if it's in violation of ARS.

I thought Arizona allowed dark tint all the way around because of the extreme sun in the summer? I'm also jealous that you don't have to have a front license plate in AZ. Dang, maybe I should just move there.

33% in the front windows, unlimited in the rear and back. Many drivers apply darker tint in the front but LE will ticket.

Having just one plate is nice.

I have 15% all around, it's illegal, but it was worth it for me. NYS laws don't allow for much anyway (77% is the limit), so I figured that I would go all the way if it's going to be illegal. Night driving is perfectly fine, and it helps out greatly with the sun during the day. I have Llumar tint.

Well i just decided that as much as I WANT to tint my windows I have 1 reason i won't and another reason I probably wasn't going to.

The first and most important reason is that I just looked up Illinois law and I can't tint my front side windows. I'm sorry, but after looking at other legal cars on the road these last 2 days I think it looks silly to tint only the rear side windows and the back.

The other reason (and I still probably would have done it anyway) is that my gf said she wouldn't drive may car if I did it...and I don't always want to be the designated driver if I drive.

naw, it looks alright, that is how my windows were when I bought them, tinted from the back, but not the front. I liked it.

Also, do not forget about the post I posted a while back about tint laws . . . .

Well, I'll keep my eyes out for a V tinted to IL state laws. But as of right now, I'm not doing it until I see it on another V.

I work overnights so I was hoping the front side tinting would spare my vampire sensitive eyes a little

I haven't been around long enough to see your post when it was first posted...but I found a website that posted all the state's laws in it...

well unfortunately, this is the best pic I could find with the windows rolled up. This is 35% on the back windows.

I liked it.

EDIT - Here are a few more.
