so after spending 2weeks chasing bugs i've gotten it to start. heres the problem, the car will start, run fine for 30sec-1min, and then will shut off. if you let it sit for 10sec and start it again it will do exactly the same thing. in my trouble shooting i had to remove the cas. i went to reinstall the cas according to the fsm and ran into this little problemthose of you who are observant will notice that the marks on the cas are backwards and the mark closest to the gear(the one on the left) is the only one that has paint on it. so when i reinstalled the cas i did as the fsm said, lined the the first dot up with the tick on the body slid it in and turned it so the tick lined up with the second dot. and thats where i am now. the car starts, runs for 30sec-1min and then shuts off. no weird noises, leaks, or vibrations. i am almost certain this has something to do with it. i would try the timing lite but it doesnt run long enough to check the timing. thoughts anyone?

it might be your timing im not sure but it my sr did that also it would run for about 30 to 1 min then shut off it ended up being that one of the intercooler pipes came off so check your pipes and tighten all the clamps

im think its more the cas itself than the timing. i took the valve cover off and rechecked everything and it was right. im gonna swap the cas after supper and see what happens.

so heres where i am now. the car will start everytime, it has a slight random miss, there are no boost leaks, the TPS is good, the IACV is good(i can turn the screw and change the rpms), and it wont rev past 2500rpm. i know what your thinking, MAFS. well i have swapped MAFS and there is no change, and i have put the mafs on another car and they work fine. which leads me to believe the wiring is bad and or its not grounding correctly. the timing might be off a little too but that has nothing to do with the 2500rpm cut out, i mean it will not rev past 2500rpm. tomorrow im going to set the timing and im going to ground the mafs to the body. what ever is going on is electrical and has to do the mafs, if anyone can think of anything else i have missed please let me know.
