I like the look of the overlays but they arent dark enough in my opinion. That being the case, I asked Andy if it were possible to do a double layer. Sure enough, for an extra $25 you can get a second set of overlays. Finally got a spare moment in daylight to take some pictures and just my luck its raining. I will take more pictures later when the car is clean and dry so Andy can upload them to his collection but for now these are what I have.

Haha yeah its legal. Having worked for a law office I have close ties to those who can look for statutes. In KY there is no law against covering lights just that the color has to be red in the back, amber turn signals and normal headlights. I guess a cop could argue that the tails are black not red but then again I have some good attorneys on my side. The lights are still visible when on though and even more so obviously when braking so I dont think there will be any problems.

Here in Florida also they would write you some big boy tickets. I once replaced the tail lights on my old integra with clears and put in orange bulbs (I know..stupid) and I traveled from key west to Orlando and got pulled over a record setting 12 times on the way. Of course I only received one ticket because you have 30 days to fix/change whatever they cited you for. I wouldn't mind getting the one strip overlay but that's just a lil to dark for me!!

Id love to see a side-by-side of the 6/10 and the double layer... In addition to seeing them lit side-by-side to make comparisons... I must say that i like this total blackout best...

Maybe in your part of PA but in north east, they don't care. I installed really dark overlays on my Acura CL and I've never had a problem with it. Mind you I live in PA and work in New York, and I've never been stopped by local or stateys....at least not yet. Just ordered the GTR style headlight and tail light overlays for my AC and I can't wait to install them!

I love it, would look f'in hot on my all black sedan...

But I live in a College Town in Oregon, and holy sh*t would they drag me behind their patrol car for doing this.. They are seriously nazi's here. Likely doesn't help we have the state police here locally.... But bah, I can't wait to move.

who cares if there legal or not if the person behind you is dumb and can't see for **** he will rear end you. you may not be a falt but you car will still be FU**ed up. and if like me the parts will be on back order still, and you won't see you baby for 2 months. so they look amazing but it is a risk.

well, technically in most states its if the brake lights aren't visible during daylight when illuminated, its illegal, but for the most part its up to the officer to determine. Here in phoenix (I work for the phoenix pd) we really could care less, we have lots of real crimes to take care of, but I guess if theres nothin else to do and they've already taken the donut run thats a pretty good time killer.

Also, I'm sure you love havin the 3.5 emblem on the back so ricers know you can kick their *butts* but I think you're a prime candidate for debadging. In my opinion the all-black would look INTENSE.
