I'm preparing to order a metric **** ton of these business-card sized recruiting cards for distribution, so you guys can "tag" cars in your area and invite folks to NICO.

Here are the proofs, let me know what you guys think (front and back of cards are shown).

Haha, once I get some feedback on these, I'll order 5000 or so and start sending them out to you guys.

Haven't really decided how to handle the postage, but we'll worry about that later.

"Package" mail or "electronic" mail?

Whatever it is, use my NICO email: [email protected]. I don't check any of my old ones any more....

If you tag a car with a GTR badge, it better be Skyline...

Obviously with that 240 stuff on there I wont tag any Qs.....

Id prefer something more generic for the non 240 guys!

I like the front but Id prefer to have a redesigned back for me personally...

What Id like to do also is have them available on a page so that we can print them whenever we want.....

I'm not a fan of the big Free on both sides, reads very "no obligation/free trial offer" like the "how to make money from home" solicitations.

I'd move the "Learn ..." line to the bottom, but that's just me.

They look good, anyway to have a spot to put your SN on the card, so they know who gave them the card?

Rex - Good call on the "free". I'll edit that.

Wes - The 240 thing is on the back, no reason not to use them for Q people... One sizze fits all!

Or, I can send you the logo and you can make some "Q-only" recruiting cards...

I like it too, especially the front, but the over-emphasis of the 240sx's on the rear didn't move me. I think the club is more than a group of 240sx owners. How about this:

Instead of the 240sx side, how making that side with just logos plus the web address . The Nico logo, tag line and address most prominent. Then underneath a group of smaller evenly spaced logos including perhaps a Nissan emblem, a Z logo, an Infiniti emblem, an SE-R badge, that 240sx.org logo, etc. You want to show off what the website is about, not just one aspect of it, and the various logos/emblems tie it all together.

Of course there;s nothing wrong with a 240sx specific tag, that mentions that it's the biggest 240sx site. Although relevent to a 240sx owner or afficionado, it means very little to someone that doesn't own a 240sx.

Just my humble $.02

Regards.

Hmmmm.

Good ideas.

I was just trying to stay away from making more than one card, but still emphasizing our position as the #1 240sx site...

Good suggestions, let's keep working on it. I want these to be very cool, since I'm ordering a truckload of 'em.

I would still get rid of those "free" words. I think that it should be an understatement thats its free, as most internet sites are.

I mean we really like alot of different car forums out there except that there is a different kind of community here, and its so large that different owner types all need to be represented.

Also, that "JOIN US!" is very night of the living dead in a vampire kinda way.

Oh hell, just print out a huge form and we'll slap 'em on every nissan hood around town...

Maybe instead of simply saying "Its free!!!!", say "free public database"

Just sounds 252974.23 times better to a car geek like me.

I agree 100% with what Rex said... All in all the card just seems really commercial to me... The FIRST item on the list says "learn how to buy parts..." That's not what I come to NICO for, I come to NICO for all the other stuff: tech advice, nissan meets, community etc etc.. I feel like those things should be emphesized over the commercial aspects of the site.

As far as the back, I like it but I'm biased cause I'm a 240sx NICO member haha.

This is a cool idea greg-- just needs a little tweaking imo, but I'll be proud to put it on cars around here

I agree with Rex. Also, I know that 240sx.org is sort of the roots of NICO, but I think we should have seperate cards for each...not everyone has a 240.

definately ... NEED NON 240 CARDS IS A MUST!!... NON CAR SPECIFIC to be particular....

i say why not just have it one sided with Nico.. then the person can put their S/n on the backside if they want so they know who placed it...

and wouldn't one sided be much cheaper too?not that cards are that expensive .. but.. i'd prefer non-specific to a car type...
