lol, yea but i dont wanna upgrade on any of my exterior till i get my engine work done, well im trying to decide, im going to buy a ka24det over the summer, im gonna do sum mods to it, by the time im done with it, with the turbo thats on it, ima add a smaller turbo that spools up real fast, and im going to do mod that is a biig horspower gain depending on the car but is very dangerous, my friend read about it and it boosted his car from like 350 to 475, so after i get done itll have its internals rebuilt, dual turbos intake intercoolerand a few more bits and peices, along with the cool air intake, itll be a partially ram air intake also, but after all that ill have about 450, thats if the lil secret gives me about 75 hp hopefully it will, but it can also explode ur car if put together incorrectly, i prolly wont do anything with the secret untill i know what im doing. but yea, hopefully ill have about 350 or so by the end of the summer, i just dont kno if i wanna do half and half, like work on the ka im buying while upgrading my exhaust, bodykit, paintjob, hood, bla bla, or if i want the stock appearance with 350 horsies under the hood, i would have to figure something out with my stock front bumper for the ram air.
Im gonna treat you equally here like most men do to other men. SEARCH its yoru car we arent going to be able to tell you what to do with it. Maybe give you some ideas but hey check the sponsors and search google look at Tommy kaira but for goodness sakes learn how to use the internet.

hey i never said anything about deciding for me on what to do...what do you think i was doing? if i knew the people i was talking to then it would be a different story but i was only getting some suggestions..no s*** the internet tells you too but what would be the point of the forum if it wasnt meant for asking for other peoplessuggestions...and if i wanted you to tell me what to do with it i would say so..neways...i am kinda tight on the money for right now so ill have to see what i can do a little later with the engine swap...thanks 
hey not trying to start a fight or anything but if you ask anyone else who have asked for opinions on stuff or this or that what can I do with my 240 kinda questions they all get the big "Search or get out" kinda response I dont think you should be fed on a silver platter any better.
But honestly there are alot of stuf fyou can do to your 240 just look http://www.importfan.com will giv eyou the most ideas.
But the best stuff or msot fun is to do conversions. THey have that on that site to but I didnt say buy anything from them that is up to you. good luck and all.

OK well I can see what you are saying you would rather know for sure what you are lookin into rather then being out in the midst with no help and figuring it out the hard way which is what I did. I think I might be able to help.
OK first off is the engine I dont want to talk about body stuff because that is mostly preferance and whatnot not something that is more technical.
Now it depends on what kinda car you get may it be a s13 89-90 or 90-94 or a s14 95-96 or 97-98. The early year version of the model s13 were comprised of the SOHC motor, later model s13 is DOHC. The one that is currently in my car is the SOHC. The later model 240's have the DOHC version of the engine (95-98). Some main differences with the engine between the SOHC and the DOHC are the fact that the DOHC is infact a dual overhead cam engine. The DOHC in my opinion has more wasted energy on the second camshaft but rather makes up the difference on the free flow of having more valves per cylinder. The SOHC is 140 hp at crank and the DOHC is 150. The DOHC has top mounted sparkplugs and the SOHC has degree angled spark plugs that insert in the side of the head. The A/C systems are different for each engine as the mounting and the type of compressor changed when they brought the DOHC over to the 240sx. Interestingly enough the DOHC has oil squirters to keep the pistons cool. Im not sure if the SOHC has them but I know for certain that the DOHC does. This would definitly help if you decided to install a turbo system. Although not necessary it is a good thing to have.
You can infact interchange the engines as putting in a DOHC into your SOHC car. Basically a domestic drop change. You may also put in a CA18DET or a SR20DET. Main differences between those engines can be sought after on the differences between SR and KA-T thread posted not to long ago in the technical section I believe. THere is alot of people who would rather have the SR in their car versus a "truck engine" but honestly its your budget and capabilities. For a engine your gonna have in there for awhile and not have to work on changing parts I would reccomend the KA. For something your gonna actually be racing with I would reccomend the SR. For the difference in the two I would recommend the CA. You can get interchangable parts from Nissan here for the CA off of the non turbo CA engine. But sadly you would have to find someone in Australia or a source a company to get you OEM parts for the SR. interchangablility is basically 0 between the KA and the SR so you would have to source the SR parts from out of the US usually through a company.
Most of the time you will want to upgrade your Differential if you didnt buy your car with a limited slip differential. But if you honestly got a bad shape underbody for your car I would spend some time bringing the old glory of your car back to the surface buying replacement parts for the suspension and whatnot. Aftermarket or otherwise youll be insured that your car will be around for another length of time.
There is alot more stuff to cover but honestly youll figure that out. Usually with a SR swap you get a rewire service to get it professionally done. Other than that most swaps require wiring anyways. some good websites are....

oops didnt mean to steal the glory lol. But I figured after doing a couple of jdm drops and engine work its better to know what your getting into but doing work is all about the learning. ONce you do it the easier it will be a second time. That is why I reccomend working on your boyfriends car if he has a 240sx before yours lol.

lol..hey sorry guys i havent been on lately... ive been trying to watch him work on his car everytime he works on it..and i ended up screwing with my moms car after watching him...it wasnt too bad...i got everything right and did it by myself..
