Hello all!

I am new here and I am most likely going to be purchasing a 1990 300zx (non Turbo) 197,000 Miles. I haven't checked out the VIN yet, But its very clean for the age. Guy who currently owns it bought it from a collector last summer, since then he has added 2 more kids into his life and can't hold onto it. Anything I should be looking for? Tips? Tricks? I'm a fast learner, love to learn and plan on keeping this car for a long time.

Thanks,

197k miles is quite a bit, but it is just a testament to how stout those VGs are. Welcome to NICO, glad to have you. You will find a plethora of information on this forum concerning these cars as well as a few very knowledgeable people, if you have a question about the Z32 do a quick search as there really are tons of information on them here on NICO, if you can't find something feel free to ask, the worst that will happen is a little cage rattling. Again welcome.

Congrats on the Z and welcome to NICO! With 197k on the clock if it was owned by a collector he wasn't collecting this car or it would have a lot less miles. Might want to drop that part of the story. Looks to be in nice shape for a high mile car, these cars are well built and will last a long time if you are willing to keep up with maintenance and needed repairs, everything has a finite life span. these cars use a lot of proprietary parts and are difficult to service, so be prepared.
