ok got my swap runnign which makes me extremely happy since i built it from ground up and its running lol she fired first turn but there a few bugs to work out and ive been searching for information but i figured a discussion and brain storming might help triger some useful advice/suggestions.

syptoms

high idle (1500-1800)stumple hesitation 2-3.5k (lack of responce and low end)

those r the main ones, now i know theres a vacuum leak i found a few with soupy water but i need to take out the propane and test for more im pulling 13-20 vac and 9psi boost.

high idle. now if i unplug aav (thing near fcid) the idle goes down to what its set at with the 10mm screw which is about 800 plug it in and it goes up. when its cold it idles about 1k then goes up.

timing is set to 15btdc at 800 rpm by unpluggin aav and then setting it.has brand new nissan coolant temp sensor, bosc o2 sensor. now i dismantled the aav and cleaned and everyhting when i put it on (im going to remove it and send power to it and see if its moving or not, but could it be just bad and causing my idle to remain high?)

now im runnign ka tb but ive check throttle cable tension and the idle stoper and neither at making it stay open

other issue is the stumble hesitation comming onto boost (2-3.5k) after that it pulls strong and feels good but in that range it lacks responce and just kinda stumbles and doesnt want to go sometimes if i give it more throttle itll like pop then start going other times if i ease the throttle its barely noticeable.

now im going to pull codes, take the timing cover off and check my timing as im runnign dual exhaust cams (intake advanced one tooth as in faq) and try to find my vac leaks, i read that possibly the dropping resistor might be causing the stumble i have a spare im going swap it in.

my butterflys are temporarily hooked up on the vac/boost reference till i wire the solenoid and install the chedck valves and canister.

im running walbro 255 and stock fpr (i know but out of moeny at the moment)i dont notice a rich condition no exhaust back fires, no black smoke a lil carbon smell from exhaust so its probably a lil rich.

im running bcpr6es plugs gaped at 1.1mm (.044) ..

sorry for the long post but wanted to make it informed to help u guys get and idea of the situation.

also how can i test the maf tube for leaks? also going to clean my maf but its the stock ca one with the adjustable screw.

i do not have a fuel pressure gauge and cant offord to buy one at the moemnt i might see if someone has one i can use but might be out the option for the moment.

oil pressure at 800 is about 20psi and 3k is 65-70psi. water temp stays around 180-190f

ok checked cams and they look good intake is 1 tooth advanced (exhaust cam) and exhaust is on the mark.

timing is 15btdc,

put in other dropping resistor no change, did find the ground for ignitor wasnt hooke dup did that no change

tried to hook up butterflys but pin 8 isnt the right pin as everwhere states it is cus its a contant ground and not a controlled ground so i need to know which pin controlls solenoid. i spliced into pin 8 and it automatically grounded the solenoid and opened the valves...

i didnt get to swap out the aav to see if it was bad but thats next and if i cant work it out ill just remove both and use the tb to set idle, i tried using some propane but couldnt find any leaks gona get soem starting fluid.

nobody have anything to contribute?

i know alot of people hooked up their butterflys what pin did u use on the ecu and did u splice into it or cut it and just connected it from ecu to solinoid?

im also getting code 34 for knock sensor do u think this is because i used 2 sheilded wires and crimped them together to reach the sensor. i took the shield and crimped it to the black wire off the harness, but i think i didnt connected to 2 seperate sheild wires sheilding together... ill probably go buy some and redo it. but just looking for suggestions .

vac issues could very likely be source of........

high idle

and

stumble

You may also have a bad coil, but I would sort out the vac issues before I went any farther with anything. May also want to check your grounds out and sure their solid(specially the ignitor one).

thanks gabby, yea i need to further investigate the vac issues,

i check the coils (good thing i have 12 lol) she idles smooth cept when comming down from a boost run she wants to stall (vac issues) sometimes i pull 20+ vac other times its 13.. so i know theres a leak

im really trying to finish the butterfly setup, do u have yours hooked up if so what ecu pin r u using?

ok so i figured out the stumbling and hesistation and poping below 3500...

i rewired my knock sensor again and bam no more problems no more code.

smooth driveability below 4 grand and lots more powa!!! lol. shes a whole nother kitten now ...

i found some vac leaks i cant fix at the moment so im not too worried about the dile part of it is the bov thats not recirculating right now and other part is my homemade intake needs the pcv fitting welded on,

got the butterlfies working turns out pin 8 is a ground that switched off at set rpm to engage butterflies . so basically theres a ground that goes open at around 4k and its tps related not enough throttle and it wont engage, i found out how to hook my solenoid up by watching the arm in the center of the manifold and hooking the vac lines up differently then flooring the gas from under the hood and watching if the arm when open to engage the valves. (just remember u have to give a decent ammount of throttle as its tps related..)
