Well, I been saving up for a while and now finally i have some what a decent amount of money and hopefully enough to fix up my 240sx. Im planing on a engine swap( pretty easy since im not doing it). But for the suspensions im. For now. all i know is to get new coilvers. and RUCAs. wut other parts should i be getting? lolz someone tell me where are bushings. and wut bushings i should get. ummm i think thats about it. Im not going to upgrade the brakes at all for now.. would that be a problem in anyway ? lolz All replys will be greatly appericated. Thank you all.

first off, I'm gonna link you to some FAQ's so you can answer some of your own questions..

Suspensions FAQ

and

why you need suspension arms (in a blunt nutshell) <- probably not the most informative thread I should give you, but I didn't have anything else in mind right now..

second... what's your budget? idealistically what is the purpose of your car? daily? autox? drifting? etc...

3000 is your budget? Yeah, thats almost more than enough...

heres a subtle approach I'd take if I were in your shoes...

master bushing set to replace all your worn out bushings...http://www.optionsauto.com/pro...18106

then go with rsr race springs or ground control springs with koni dampers.

If you plan on going with aftermarket arms, forget about getting the master bushing set, cuz they'll just be replaced with the pillowball ends...

and if you don't think the springs and struts are aggressive enough for you, you can always spend a bit more money and go with adjustable (both height and damper adjustable) coilovers with a subtle street-able spring rate. Just note that going the coilovers route can start up to $1000.... (at least the more common trust-able entry level coilovers should cost around that much... I wouldnt recommend cheaping out on cheap coilovers).

there are still other bushings that could use a change though, such as subframe, lca, sway bar d-bushing, endlinks, etc.

here, check out under the suspensions part.. it has a bunch of DIY guides on how to change everything... http://www.240sxtech.com

Set about $1k aside for at least pads/rotors/fluid and an HPDE event (no, not the parking lot stuff, either). That'll probably do as much for your car's "handling" as all the rest of that stuff. It complements anything you upgrade, regardless. Heckuva lot of fun, too.

Then top it off with strut tower braces.

Hey Hey Hey, what the crap??? I resemble that remark.

Nothing wrong with autoX. In fact it is a safer place to learn good car control basic's than on a race track. .02

And for brakes, Carbotech's kick ***!
