There are a some cars in there that I wouldn't call "Super Cars." Sports cars maybe, but not "Super." What was the criteria for forming this list?

BTW I would take the Z06

yeah, i wasnt sure about a few but ive read a few magazines call the wrx a super car, not even the sti, the regular one. No criteria really just any high end performance oriented car under 100 grand. I would have a hard time choosing between the Zo6, rs6, and 911 targa.

The M3 of COURSE!!!!

If you guys are thinking of the coupe clk55 amg that is supercharged with 460 someodd horsepower, my old boss owns one...and its more than 100k, lol.

Also, what about buying a Skyline for undr 100k????

I wouldnt turn away an Audi RS6.

BTW, the USDM WRX is not a super car. Nor is the STi. I guess my criteria for the term "super car" is a bit high. When I think of supercars I think of the Porsche 959, McLaren F1, Ford GT40, Nissan R390 GT1, Dodge Hennessey Viper Venom 800TT, Chevrolet Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette, Ferrari Enzo...

Either the Audi RS6 or the BMW M5...because they are both not only fast, good handling cars...they are NICE. Cold_Zero...I just saw an Enzo at the Dallas Auto Show...it was friekin awesome, absolutely gorgeous...wow.

well, I wasnt sure if motorex could get you a brand new r34 gtr for less than 100 grand. And I was going to put 350z and g35 coupe up there but i dont think they could compete with anything on there, maybe the z-4, probably close to the sc430 and m3. Fell free to add your own too if you could buy it brand new today for less than 100k. Also do you guys consider supercars and exotics two different classes? I always thought of most of these as supercars and lambos, ferraris and mclarens ext. as exotic.

Former240 s14- Kelley blue book said the clk55 AMG sells new for around 70k. Maybe your boss had the cl55 AMG or sl55 AMG both around 115k?

Viper GTS, though not the SRT-10. I hate the looks of the convertible Viper, but love the coupe. I don't think they have any standard coupe right now, so if I can't get that I go M5.

Yes, I didn't really pay attention to "K" you used above. It was the cl55 AMG I beleive, and it was around 130k I think.....it coulda been marked up too. Before that he had a SL500 convertible coupe, a clk430 AMG, and another SL500 Indy Edition, which was 1 of 40 in the world.

corvette zo6 : driven one, liked it. Bargain supercar.bmw m3: driven a few, loved it, would liove onebmw m5: driven one, loved it, would love onebmw z-4 3.0i: sat in one, fugly car.porshe 911 4S: I've driven older 911's, not a 4S. niceporshe 911 targa: if you're talking about the old ones, great but not particularly quick. the S was quickerporshe boxter S: very nice. rode in one, but didn't get to drive itdodge viper: driven 2 on the track. primitive, blazing, torque monster. awesome track car, horrible street car. mercedes sl500: sat in one. Very nice, but too expensivemercedes clk55 AMG: haven't sat in one yet.audi rs6: I'd love one, but US models won't be available with a stick. I'm a big audi fan too

audi s8: nice car, but too big and not a sports car.acura NSX: very nice, but overpriced.lexus sc430: sat in one. I don't care for the looks but very comfortable inside.

I know I probably left a few off and a couple on the list maybe shouldnt be there.

Yeah, If I was going to spend between $50-100K. I'd probably look most closely at the M3 or M5.

M5, then the S8, then the NSX then the Z06.

The boxster is outclassed in that list, as is the z4 (IMO).

What about the new Caddy (sport 'vert)?

It's a nice car, but the question was about supercars, not super civics. My order from that list is M5, M3, RS6, Z06, S8.

I saw the Caddy sport 'vert at the Philly autoshow. I'm not a big fan of cadillac's box cutter styling, but it definitely works on the convertible. Sexy looking car.

definately between the RS6/M5 or M3 if i dont want a 4door...but if u compare for the hell of it... RS6- 450hp/415ft lbs bi-turbo V8 w/AWD and rally-inspired, steering wheel-mounted paddle shift.... M5- 394hp/444ft lbs V8 with unmatched luxury... M3-333hp/262ft lbs I-6...man, screw it, ill take em all, and throw in the 9114S and NSX for me too!

the R34 isn't half the car the REAL Godzilla is, the R32 =) yeah, so they put out alot of power out of the advanced RB26, but I'll take the lighter, and cooler looking R32 anyday, and those "super cars" can be had for as little as $30k licensed and legal,

or are these brand new cars? whereas the R34 wouldn't be on that list anyway, it's out of production if I remember correctly, could be wrong, though
