I found a superbug outside this morning on my car.

I love how they get all worried up about all these superbugs and stuff....but yet they don't tell you how many people are dying from it...

Wanna know why? BECAUSE PEOPLE AREN'T. The human body fights off these bacteria and such just like any other bacteria...we just don't have a wonder-cure to fix it. Sure, people die, but people still die from other random crap like the Flu. Whoopee.

Same thing as the flu virus. Some people are easy cases, some people die. It's just another infection that we have nothing we can really do about it.

This superbug has to be transmitted by direct contact with blood or other internal bodily fluids.

What they are spreading panic about is IF a very specific gene gets transmitted to another strain of bacteria. That's a big if fellas.

Remember the Mad Cow Disease thing? I got this from a website.

How many people have died from mad cow disease?
Worldwide, barely 170 people have died from mad cow disease since it was first isolated and identified nearly ten years ago—and none of them contracted the disease in the United States. By contrast, far more of us are killed every year by bolts of lightning, bee stings, dog bites, or garden-variety seasonal flu.

This is probably something like that. They say it can be fatal? Well so can eating an apple. What's their point?

People and their simple fears. Stupid hypochondriacs are ruining the use of antibiotics and creating super bugs. Anyway, I'm with Lou.

^This
I have a friend at my job that was VERY ill with this bug, she was in the hospital and at home for a month.

C. difficile is actually so virulent because of the same reasons.

We're over-using antibiotics, antiseptics, etc, we've made everything so sterile that we ourselves are creating these super bacteria strains and we alone are the ones getting effed up from them. I guess what I'm saying is, we've made things so clean that when something comes along it really cleans our clocks because we're not used to it. We have weak immune systems because of it. We're all f***. :ohno:

Eh, when I was externing, I still ended up being a dirtbag after work. After I take my afterwork shower, I never really use soap, until I'm at work again. Dirty things don't bother me, just bodily fluids. And spiders.
