so i decided to buy a sub and use that 4 channel amp i was selling to power it... seeing how its bridgeable to 150w x 2... here are some pics, tell me what you think.

the wire is ran through the front fender, and into the car through the rubber seal the driver's door's wiring goes through... btw its a 10" kicker in a ported enclosure... usually about 150 bucks, but i got it at circuit city for 40% off =]

Hey dude, can you resize your pictures? They're quite huge and make it difficult to check them out. Thanks!

That's a sweet deal, I was actually looking at that exact same sub at circuit city a few weeks back lol. Back then it was only 10% off, I might go check back and see what they have left. How does it hit? Is it pretty loud? I know the fact that we have a hatch helps the sound come through easier haha.

well which one are you talking about? cause i know the circuit city up in bel air, this was the last in box one... they had the display... but thats it... and its pretty loud, and its pretty nice... just had to adjust my amp right, seeing how its a 4 channel... but its pretty nice =] and its such a deal getting it in the box too.

looks real nice man, the only question i have for you is if you have had any problems with the box moving?i opened up my trunk a few days after getting my subs installed and they had moved around quite a bit despite being pretty heavy. i googled around a bit and i think im going to try and use a bit of strong velcro but i was wondering if you knew a better alternative.

I velcroed my sub box in my '98 Civic trunk and it stayed intacted the entire time. Works great.

the box came with these little strips of metal with 3 holes in them.... 2 to screw into the box, and the other to drill into the floor. They want you to drill them into the bottom of the box so it lays flat, but i just took some pliers and bent one of the holes out to make an L-Bracket, drilled it into the box, then into the floor... through the cargo cover, but im not too worried about it. and its in there pretty good.... the friction between the cargo carpet and the box was enough, but i just did it to secure it good. i would just go buy a couple L-Brackets and drill... its the best way.

I went to the Circuit City in Rockville, so the selection is definitely different from the one in Bel Air. I'll have to check back and see if they still have some subs left. Glad you like yours!

I should take some pics of my sub setup but its -15c right now I took out the spare tire and built a sub box to fit in that area then built a false floor. When you open the hatch, it looks totally stock BTW: I got 2 10" to fit in there nicely

not i, i have an Alpine CDA-9886... but the alpine amps come with a line-level input built into it... with a wire harness to plug into the amp... is that why you ask?

Sorry to bring up an old post but..

I have a stock HU with aftermarket amp and subwoofers.Mine sounds great, I have the top of the line Versa with ALL the packages and stuff so I have the "premium" sound with Pioneer speakers and the 6disc cd changer and bluetooth.

I want to keep my HU cause of the bluetooth and cd changer. I don't see a real reason to get rid of it till I get my dvd player/navi

I attach the rough side of velcro to the sub box and it sticks damn good to the floor without drilling into anything...
